You will then have a delicious lunch break at renowned Karim’s restaurant before driving to see some of the New Delhi sights such as Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun&#8217;s tomb and the old Fort by the evening. You are recommended to have an excellent dinner with great food options at Panadara Road very close to India Gate. There is overnight stay at hotel.</p>

Having checked in at hotel relaxation for some time then you will be on a guided tour of Mandawa. Mandawa is a small town that lies in the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. <p><strong>Day 4.</strong> <strong>Mandawa / Samode: </strong>Today morning you will be transferred to Samode Palace in the state of the royals to arrive by afternoon. Later in the day visit Hawa Mahal; built in 1799 is one of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur. It was build for the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities through five-storied semi-octagonal monument with 152 windows. At present it is a museum. City Palace situated in the heart of the old City houses important museum and allows a fine view of the gardens and the city. In the evening visit a magnificent observatory built in 18th century. In the late evening transfer to the railway station to board overnight train to Khajuraho.</p>

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Mehrangarh Fort:</span></strong> The Rathore Rajputs founded it in 15th century. At present a museum is managed and maintained by the royal trust. There are only few grand palaces of Mehrangarh are open for tourists. Among the magnificent palaces are Moti Mahal, Jhanki Mahal, Chandan Mahal, Rang Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Umaid Vilas and Maan Vilas etc.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Jaswant Thada:</span></strong> The Jaswant Thada is the traditional cremation ground of the rulers of Jodhpur. There are the ornamental gardens and cenotaphs built by the excellent white marble in 1899 in the memory of Jaswant Singh II. There are royal portraits and possessions also.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Umaid Bhawan Palace</span></strong><strong>: </strong>The construction of this palace begun in 1929, it was designed by the president of the British Royal Institute of Architects for Maharaja Umaid Singh. This grand palace was completed in 15 years. At present Maharaja Gaj Singh II, still lives in part of the building. The rest has been converted into a heritage hotel.</p>

<p><strong>Chabahil: </strong>The lovely stupa of Chabahil is believed to have been built by Charumati, the daughter of the Indian emperor Ashoka, in the 3rd century B.C. There are ancient statues around the stupa.</p>
<p><strong>Chandra Vinayak: </strong>The temple of Chandra Vinayak is situated about 200 m. north of Chabahil stupa. This double-tiered brass roofed temple houses a tiny image of Lord Ganesh.</p>

Later in the day visit <strong>Hawa Mahal;</strong> built in 1799 is one of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur. <p><strong>Bada Imambara:</strong> <strong>The Bada Imambada</strong> or <strong>Asafi Imambada</strong> was built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ul-Daula as welfare project during severe famine. It has historical, cultural and heritage importance. The complex also includes the large <strong>Asfi mosque</strong>, the <strong>Bhul-Bhulaiyah (the labyrinth);</strong> a staircase leads to a series of artfully designed labyrinths where it is easy to get lost. Therefore visitors are only allowed inside with guide who is familiar with the maze.</p>
<p><strong>Hussainabad Imambara:</strong> Also known as Chhota Imambada, was built in eighteen centuary by Mohammed Ali Shah. It is the landmark of Lucknow. The Imambada has a white dome and numerous turrets, minarets and verses in Arabic decorate the walls of the mausoleum. Chhota Imambara is an imposing monument located in the Old City area of Lucknow.</p>
<p><strong>Rumi Darwaza: </strong>Rumi Darwaza is one of the most impressive gateways in India. This gateway is close to Bada Imambara. It is also commissioned by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, like the Bada Imambara, under the &#8216;Food for Work&#8217; program to give relief to the inhabitants suffering from severe famine.</p>
<p><strong>Day 8. Lucknow/ <a href="../tourist-cities/varanasi/">Varanasi</a>:</strong> Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then visit <strong>The Residency</strong>; a group of buildings built in 1800 A.D by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. It was constructed in order to serve as the residence for the British Resident General. During the Mutiny of 1857, the rebels besieged the Residency. It has become a historic monument at present. It served as an arsenal during the Mutiny. Having seen <strong>The Residency</strong> transfer to the railway station to board evening train to Varanasi. <p><strong>About Sarnath:</strong> Sarnath is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon and celebrated mantra, &#8216;Buddham Sharnam Gachhami&#8217;, originated from here. Lord Buddha earmarked four sacred places for his followers as Lumbini, Bodh Gaya, Kushinagar and Sarnath. There are many Buddhist monuments and edifices in Sarnath. Some of the important Buddhist monuments at Sarnath are the Dhamekha stupa, the Chaukhandi stupa and monasteries and temples of different schools of Buddhism.
