Day by Day
Day 1: Arrival Delhi:Assistance upon arrival at Delhi International airport then transfer to the hotel. Delhi has a historical past dates back to 5000 years old civilization. Delhi city ruined by invaders many times and rebuilt again. The erstwhile rulers were fascinated by the charm and strategic position of the city, hence made it the capital city by different rulers. At present too it is the capital of republic of India. Now it is a lively sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. There is overnight stay at Delhi hotel.
Day 2: Delhi to Agra: Today after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Delhi visiting Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi is Mughal Delhi ruled by Mughal Emperors who constructed many historical buildings 400 years ago, some of them still exist such as Red Fort and Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. After that visit Raj Ghat – the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. New Delhi is the British Delhi that consists some old impressive monuments such as Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar etc. New Delhi has some remarkable buildings such as Rajpath – the ceremonial avenue, India Gate, Parliament House and President’s House etc. In the evening transfer to Agra hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Agra to Jaipur: This morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing trip of Agra visiting The Taj Mahal, a love memorial build 400 years ago by the Mughal King Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
The construction of Taj Mahal took 22 years to be completed. Taj is noted for its elegant domes, intricately carved screens, intricate inlay work, amazing design balance and perfect symmetry. Agra Fort was built in red sandstone consisting magnificent palaces, spacious halls and beautiful gardens. Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb in this fort and spent last days of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from across river Yamuna. In the afternoon transfer to Jaipur visiting Fatehpur Sikri – the deserted red Sandstone City that is also known as the Ghost city built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. Having arrived Jaipur, check in at Jaipur hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Jaipur to Delhi: This morning after breakfast proceed for excursion to Amber Fort and enjoy the exhilarating elephant ride ascent to the Amer Fort. It is a fort palace constructed in the 16th century. Having seen that visit City Palace, observatory and palace of winds. City Palace has palaces, Govind Dev Temple and reputed City Palace Museum. The Observatory is one of the best preserved of five observatories constructed by King Jai Singh II in different parts of India. “Palace of Winds” is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. It is five-storied construction with fine trelliswork and balconies that was built in 1799. Having seen that transfer to Delhi international airport to board midnight flight back home. The trip ends.
