DelhiJaipur - Bharatpur – Agra – Lucknow - Varanasi – Orchha – KhajurahoDelhi.

Day 1. Arrival Delhi: You will be met with our representative on arrival at Delhi International airport and then transferred to the hotel to spend overnight.

Day 2. In Delhi: Today morning after breakfast you will be taken on a full day sightseeing of Delhi starting from old Delhi’s monuments such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk market. After that you will you will have a lunch break before driving to New Delhi sight seeing such as Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun’s tomb and Old Fort by the evening. You are recommended to have an excellent dinner in Connaught Place before going back to your hotel to spend overnight.

Day 3. Delhi / Jaipur: Today morning you will be driven to Jaipur by road. Having checked in at hotel relaxation for some time then proceed for guided tour of Jaipur visiting Gaitor; memorials to the former rulers of Jaipur the place has some gracefully carved cenotaphs in white marble, Jaigarh Fort; standing on a hilltop, world’s biggest cannon on wheels is positioned here and Nahargarh Fort; built in 1734. The walls of the fort run along the ridge with architectural beauties. In the evening visit the Jaipur bazaar then back to the hotel to spend overnight at hotel.

Day 4.  In Jaipur: Today morning after breakfast you will be enjoying the guided trip of Jaipur city visiting Amer Fort (Amber Fort) The fort is remarkable blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture a fine piece of Rajput architecture, built in the seventeen centuary is famous for great views from the top. Later in the day visit Hawa Mahal; built in 1799 is one of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur. It was build for the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities through five-storied semi-octagonal monument with 152 windows. At present it is a museum. City Palace situated in the heart of the old City houses important museum and allows a fine view of the gardens and the city. In the evening visit a magnificent observatory built in 18th century. Having seen all these you will be back to the hotel by the evening to spend overnight at hotel.

Day 5.  Jaipur/ Bharatpur: Today you will have leisurely morning, having checked out from the hotel sight seeing of Jaipur city enjoying the hustle bustle of local market then drive to Bharatpur in the evening. Having reached check in at hotel to have relaxing sound sleep at beautiful Laxmi Vilas Palace. There is overnight stay in Bharatpur.

Day 6.  Bharatpur / Agra: In the morning departure transfer to Agra by car visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way that is a deserted, phantom city at present but it was the capital of great Mughal king Akbar for approximately 12 years. Having reached Agra check at hotel then proceed for a guided tour of Agra visiting The Taj Mahal, a love memorial built by Mughal king Shah Jehan in the loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, Agra Fort where Shah Jehan spent the last few years of his life imprisoned here by his son and I’timad-Ud-Daulah, the Empress Nur Jahan built this tomb for her father, it is also called the Baby Taj. There is overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7. Agra / Lucknow: Today early morning you will be transferred to the railway station to board train to Lucknow. Having reached Lucknow in the afternoon, check in at the hotel and relaxation for some time then sight seeing of the city visiting old Lucknow sights as Bada Imambara, Hussainabad Imambara, Rumi Darwaza and Aminabad market. Having seen these you will be back at hotel to spend overnight there.

Lucknow Sight Seeing Places

Bada Imambara: The Bada Imambada or Asafi Imambada was built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ul-Daula as welfare project during severe famine. It has historical, cultural and heritage importance. The complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiyah (the labyrinth); a staircase leads to a series of artfully designed labyrinths where it is easy to get lost. Therefore visitors are only allowed inside with guide who is familiar with the maze.

Hussainabad Imambara: Also known as Chhota Imambada, was built in eighteen centuary by Mohammed Ali Shah. It is the landmark of Lucknow. The Imambada has a white dome and numerous turrets, minarets and verses in Arabic decorate the walls of the mausoleum. Chhota Imambara is an imposing monument located in the Old City area of Lucknow.

Rumi Darwaza: Rumi Darwaza is one of the most impressive gateways in India. This gateway is close to Bada Imambara. It is also commissioned by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, like the Bada Imambara, under the ‘Food for Work’ program to give relief to the inhabitants suffering from severe famine.

Day 8. Lucknow/ Varanasi: Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then visit The Residency; a group of buildings built in 1800 A.D by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. It was constructed in order to serve as the residence for the British Resident General. During the Mutiny of 1857, the rebels besieged the Residency. It has become a historic monument at present. It served as an arsenal during the Mutiny. Having seen The Residency transfer to the railway station to board evening train to Varanasi. You will be assisted on arrival at Varanasi railway station then transfer to the hotel to spend overnight.

Day 9. In Varanasi: Today you will have an early morning boat ride on the Ganges to see some of the Hindu religious activities and rituals on ghats such as bathing, washing and funeral pyres. Later in the day visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, New Vishwanath temple, Sankat Mochan temple, Golden Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Durga Temple. In the evening visit ghats on the Ganges to take boat ride and evening activities.

Day 10. In Varanasi: Excursion to Sarnath: Today you will have driven to Sarnath visiting Sarnath Museum, Ashoka Lion Capital, Buddhist Temples, Chaukhandi Stupa, Dhamekh Stupa and Dharmrajika Stupa etc. You will be driven back to Varanasi by the evening to spend overnight at Varanasi.

About Sarnath: Sarnath is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon and celebrated mantra, ‘Buddham Sharnam Gachhami’, originated from here. Lord Buddha earmarked four sacred places for his followers as Lumbini, Bodh Gaya, Kushinagar and Sarnath. There are many Buddhist monuments and edifices in Sarnath. Some of the important Buddhist monuments at Sarnath are the Dhamekha stupa, the Chaukhandi stupa and monasteries and temples of different schools of Buddhism. There is also a vast expanse of ancient ruins at Sarnath. The Ashoka pillar of Sarnath is the National emblem of India.

Day 11. Varanasi / Khajuraho: You will have a leisurely morning today spending more time on ghats along ganges seeing religious Hindu rituals and walking through narrow streets before your transfer to the airport to board flight to Khajuraho. You will be assisted on arrival at Khajuraho airport then transfer to the hotel. Evening at leisure and relax for the day. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12. In Khajuraho: Today morning after breakfast full day sightseeing of world famous temples visiting the world famous temples of 10th century. Khajuraho is the India’s second most favoured tourist destination after Taj Mahal. These temples have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are well known for erotic sculptures. There are only 22 temples have survived out of the original 85 temples. Khajuraho temples were discovered by a British army officer in the 20Th centuary and preserved the “high point” of Indian architectural genius of medieval times. Having explored the temples, spend overnight at Khajuraho.

Day 13: Khajuraho / Orchha: Today morning you will you will be driven to Orchha. Having checked in at hotel, relaxation for some time then sight seeing of 16th century Orchha Fort founded on the picturesque site with monuments dotting the landscape on either side of the river Betwa. Orchha’s legacy has been captured in stone and frozen in time. The remarkable proportions of the exteriors and interiors have excellent Bundela art. Its palaces, temples and cenotaphs are beautifully reflected in the flowing water of the Betwa River. There is overnight stay at Orchha.

Day 14. Orchha / Delhi via Khajuraho: In the morning after breakfast transfer to the Khajuraho airport to board flight to Delhi. You will be met with our representative at Delhi airport then transfer to the hotel.

Day 15. Delhi / Back Home: Today morning after leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel in the afternoon visit Delhi market, Akshardham Temple and lotus temple etc then transfer to the airport to board flight back home.
