Special Buddhist Pilgrimage Trip
About Lord Budhha: Lord Buddha was initially named Siddharth Gautam, born as the son of a king. His upbringing was done in Kapilvastu in the lap of luxury, fame and splendour. As per the prediction of soothsayers he was suppose to shun the life of a king to become monk at a young age. Despite his father’s best effort to prove the prediction wrong, he left all the worldly pleasures including his newly born male child and young beautiful wife at the age of 29, proving the soothsayers right to attain salvation. Having spent years of penance and deprivation at Bodhgaya in search of truth, he finally attained “enlightenment” under Bodhi tree and became Buddha. The Buddha preached his first sermon at Sarnath near Varanasi. He traveled far flung areas to promote and preach his teachings and philosophy.
