Valley of Flowers is situated in the Himalayas of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,600 meters above sea-level, surrounded by snow capped mountains. The valley is home to many rare flowers like the Brahmakamal, the Blue Poppy and the Cobra Lily. It is favorite destination for flower-lovers, botanists and trekking enthusiasts. It is carpeted with variety of colorful flowers during August/September with wide varieties of flowers, shrubs, orchids and plants offering enchanting textures. Trek to Valley of Flowers starts from Haridwar / Rishikesh that is followed by 300 kms road journey to Joshimath, then to Govindghat. Finally you get a 14 km trek from Govindghat to Ghangria, along the river Lakshman Ganga. From the base camp Ghangria, the Valley of Flowers is a 3 km climb, where you have to go and come back daily same day. Since camping and overnight stay is not allowed in the Valley of Flowers, Ghanghria is the logical base camp for the trek. It was declared a national park in 1982, and now it is UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: HARIDWAR – GOVINDGHAT: Upon arrival at Haridwar, transfer for Govindghat 300 kms (8-9 hrs drive). Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: GOVINDGHAT – GHANGRIA (3048 / 10000 ft) : Early morning, we start the trek from Govindghat and trek 14 kms to reach Ghangria taking about 4-5 hrs. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 3: GHANGRIA – VALLEY OF FLOWERS (3658 m / 12000 ft) – GHANGRIA: We will trek 5 kms one way to reach the enchanting valley. Spend time here and return to Ghangria in the evening. Total trekking time would be about 5-6 hrs. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 4: GHANGRIA – HEMKUND SAHIB (4329 m / 14200 ft) – GHANGRIA: Today’s climb of 6 kms to Hemkund Sahib is steep at places and will take about 4 hrs. Return trek will take about a couple of hours. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 5: GHANGRIA – GOVINDGHAT – BADRINATH: On this day we will trek for about 3 hrs to reach Govindghat. From here we will drive to the holy town of Badrinath (Drive/1 hr). In the evening visit the temple and overnight stay in Badrinath.
Day 6: BADRINATH – HARIDWAR: After breakfast, drive to Haridwar (Drive/9-10 hrs). TRIP ENDS HERE.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Before 30 days: Full refund (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
Between 21-30 days: 75% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
Between 14-21 days: 50% of trip cost will be refunded (after deducting any expenses that have been incurred for hotel bookings, transport, etc.)
Less than 14 days: No refund
TRANSPORT OPTIONS (DELHI – HARIDWAR – DELHI) : For travel to Haridwar, train travel is recommended. The closest railway station to the camp is Haridwar and there are a number of trains that connect to Haridwar from all over the country. For train details, you could log on to www.indianrail.gov.inv.html/a> and for online railway ticket bookings you could log on to www.irctc.co.in.html . For air travel, the closest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport (at Dehradun) and is well connected to Delhi and other parts of the country by Air India, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, etc.
ROAD: There are frequent Public Transport buses available from Delhi to Haridwar that cost about Rs. 200 per person. These buses depart from Delhi bus stand every 30 mins. Or so and take about 6 hrs to cover the distance. The same is also applicable on the return journey. A private vehicle could also be arranged as per your requirement.
