Lucknow Sight Seeing Places

Bada Imambara: The Bada Imambada or Asafi Imambada was built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ul-Daula as welfare project during severe famine. It has historical, cultural and heritage importance. The complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiyah (the labyrinth); a staircase leads to a series of artfully designed labyrinths where it is easy to get lost. Therefore visitors are only allowed inside with guide who is familiar with the maze.

Hussainabad Imambara: Also known as Chhota Imambada, was built in eighteen centuary by Mohammed Ali Shah. It is the landmark of Lucknow. The Imambada has a white dome and numerous turrets, minarets and verses in Arabic decorate the walls of the mausoleum. Chhota Imambara is an imposing monument located in the Old City area of Lucknow.

Rumi Darwaza: Rumi Darwaza is one of the most impressive gateways in India. This gateway is close to Bada Imambara. It is also commissioned by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, like the Bada Imambara, under the ‘Food for Work’ program to give relief to the inhabitants suffering from severe famine.

Day 8. Lucknow/ Varanasi: Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then visit The Residency; a group of buildings built in 1800 A.D by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. It was constructed in order to serve as the residence for the British Resident General. During the Mutiny of 1857, the rebels besieged the Residency. It has become a historic monument at present. It served as an arsenal during the Mutiny. Having seen The Residency transfer to the railway station to board evening train to Varanasi. Day 11: Jaisalmer / Ghanerao: This morning you will be driven to Ghanerao situated at a distance of 140 kms from Udaipur. Day 6. In Yumthang: In the morning full day excursion to Yumey Sanrong situated at an altitude of 15,000. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9. Lachen / Gangtok: In the morning departure transfer to Gangtok visiting Phodong and Labrang monasteries on the way. Having arrived check in at hotel and relaxation for the day. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10. In Gangtok: In the morning excursion to Rumtek Monastery, The Research Institute of Tibetology, Nyimapa Monastery and Enchy Monastery etc. There is overnight stay at hotel..

Day 11. Gangtok/ Delhi via Bagdogra: In the morning transfer to Bagdogra airport to board flight to Delhi. . There is assistance on arrival then transfer to the hotel. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12. Delhi/ Back Home: In the morning after breakfast full day sight seeing of Delhi visiting old Delhi and New Delhi sights as Red fort and the Jama Masjid. Qutab Minar, Old Fort, India Gate and Humayun’s tomb etc. then transfer to the international airport to board flight back home.

Day 1. Arrival Delhi: You will be assisted on arrival at Delhi International airport and then transferred to the hotel to spend overnight at hotel.

Day 2. In Delhi: In the morning after breakfast you will be taken on a full day sightseeing of Delhi starting from old Delhi tour through spice market and Chandni Chowk busy with their day-to-day business apart from grand Jama Masjid and magnificent Red Fort. After that you will have a lunch break before driving to see some of the New Delhi sights such as Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun’s tomb and the old Fort by the evening. Day 3. Delhi / Jaisalmer: In the morning after breakfast sight seeing of rest of places if any then transfer to the railway station as per the train schedule to board overnight train to Jaisalmer.

Day 4: In Jaisalmer: Assistance on arrival at railway station then transfer to the hotel. Relax for few hours then sight seeing for the rest of the day. You will see the Golden City, named so because of its magnificent yellow sandstone structures, is an artistic marvel in the midst of the arid desert. Jaisalmer, once an important trade centre, located on the caravan trade route to Afghanistan and Central Asia, the golden era of Jaisalmer started from 12th century onwards. Day 5. In Jaisalmer: Today morning after breakfast you will enjoy camel safari tour of desert city. There is overnight stay at desert camp.

Day 6. Jaisalmer / Jodhpur: Today you will have leisurely breakfast in the afternoon then transfer to the train station to board overnight train to Jodhpur.

Day 7. In Jodhpur: Assistance on arrival at railway station in the morning then transfer to the hotel. Having reached Jodhpur, check in at hotel relaxation for some time then sight seeing for the rest of the day. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8. In Jodhpur: Today morning you will enjoy the guided tour of Jodhpur city visiting Mehrangarh Fort founded in 15th century by the Rathore Rajputs. At present managed as a museum. There are only some of the spectacular palaces of Mehrangarh open to the visitors. Jaswant Thada, is the traditional cremation ground of the rulers of Jodhpur. Umaid Bhawan Palace, Constructed of marble and pink sandstone. In the evening you will be visiting the Girdikot and Sardar Market where small shops line either sides of the narrow lanes famous for textiles, silver, handicrafts, aromatic spices, vegetables and colorful Indian sweets. Day 9. Jodhpur / Jaipur : Today morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and sight seeing if time permits then transfer to the railway station to board train to Jaipur. Having reached Jaipur check in at hotel. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10. In Jaipur : Today morning after breakfast you will be enjoying the guided trip to the city visiting Amer Fort (Amber Fort) The fort is remarkable blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture a fine piece of Rajput architecture, built in the seventeen centuary is famous for great views from the top. Later in the day visit Hawa Mahal; built in 1799 is one of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur. It was build for the royal ladies to watch and enjoy the processions and other activities through five-storied semi-octagonal monument with 152 windows. At present it is a museum. City Palace situated in the heart of the old City houses important museum and allows a fine view of the gardens and the city. In the evening visit a magnificent observatory built in 18th century. Having seen all these you will be back to the hotel by the evening to spend overnight at hotel.

Day 11. Jaipur / Agra: In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and sight seeing if time permits then transfer to the railway station to board train to Agra. Having reached Agra check in at hotel and relaxation for the day. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12. In Agra: Today morning you will be on Agra guided tour. Your Agra trip starts visiting the matchless symbol of love The Taj Mahal that was built by the mughal emperor Shahjahan for his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. After that you will see the grand Agra Fort, Itmad-Ul-Daula Etc. You will be transferred to the railway station to board overnight train to Varanasi.

Day 13. Agra / Varanasi: You will be assisted on arrival at Varanasi railway station by our representative then transfer to the hotel and relaxation for some time then visit at ghats to enjoy evening activities and Ganga Aarti there. There is overnight stay in Varanasi.

Day 14. In Varanasi: Today you will have an early morning boat ride on the Ganges to see some of the Hindu religious activities and rituals on ghats such as bathing, washing and funeral pyres. Later in the day visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, New Vishwanath temple, Sankat Mochan temple, Golden Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Durga Temple. In the evening visit ghats on the Ganges to take boat ride and evening activities. There is overnight stay at hotel.

Day 15. Varanasi / Delhi: Today morning you will have a leisurely breakfast then spend some more time on enchanting Benaras ghats then transfer to the railway station to board overnight train to Delhi.

Day 16: Delhi / Back Home: You will be assisted on arrival at New Delhi Railway Station then transfer to the airport as per flight schedule to board flight back home.
